Their cake! I am amazed on how their cake decors represent their personalities. The groom, a seemingly timid and nerdy guy and the bride, a chinita chic. And the calculator which represents their jobs of being accountants plus the “14344” :) Very creative and keen to details!
Attended a wedding yesterday. Beautiful setup, delish food, entourage dancing to the tune of “Give Me Everything”, newlyweds’ entrance with “On The Floor” and choreography, lovely people and very much in love couple. Close-to-perfection wedding!
Wall Decors
Ever asked of what you wanna be when you grow up? A lot of kids would come up with the cliche “I would like to be a doctor/lawyer.” But I don’t think they really mean it and just wanted to be cute. Hehe. Hadn’t I been to business, I would really want to end up being an interior designer or maybe in the future would have a home essentials/decors/furniture shop. I just have that fancy over clean, organized, classy and well-designed space. I have to admit that I have still yet to find my creativity though. Thank God for the web! Just a minimal effort on typing on Google and it will take to sites with great finds and ideas. And so before forgetting those I’ve searched, I’m compiling them here on tumblr.

RED Garlic
Dined in Katipunan with Mark for the first time. We tried RED Garlic, a newly opened restaurant just 5-minute drive away from Eastwood. RED stands for Read, Eat and Drink.

Red Garlic Signature Roll (Finally, a sushi that doesn’t make me wanna puke. The best sushi I’ve tasted so far!)

We were so full that we weren’t able to try their desserts. Definitely coming back for the Red Garlic Signature Roll and to try some of the desserts. I heard Lava Cake, Pana Cotta and Hush Puppies (I think that’s really the name) are their bestsellers!
The Hunger Games trailer. Hyyyyped! Of the three books in the series, I think THG’s the most interesting. The movie comes a day after my birthday. Yayy! Hehe.
Very first creation with CS4 and my first typography. One of my favorite lines from The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Background image from imgfave.

Yesterday, Mark handed me these books from Fully Booked, The Perks of Being a Wallflower and The Mysterious Benedict Society. I asked him to buy Stephen Chbosky’s only but while waiting in line for the cashier, he had eyed a book by Trenton Lee Stewart which according to him is quite a good read too. It’s from the Children’s Books section.

The Mysterious Benedict Society. Php275, Fully Booked.

At the back cover:
“Are you a gifted child looking for special opportunities?”
When this peculiar ad appears in the newspaper, dozens of children enroll to take a series of mysterious, mind-bending tests. (And you, dear reader, can test your wits right alongside them.) But in the end just four very special children will succeed. Their challenge: to go on a secret mission that only the most intelligent and resourceful children could complete. To accomplish it they will have to go undercover at the Learning Institute for the Very Enlightened, where the only rule is that there are no rules.
As our heroes face physical and mental trials beyond their wildest imaginations, they have no choice but to turn to each other for support. But with their newfound friendship at stake, will they be able to pass the most important test of all?
Welcome to the Mysterious Benedict Society.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Php299, Fully Booked.

At the back cover:
Charlie is a freshman. And while he’s not the biggest geek in the school, he is by no means popular. Shy, introspective, intelligent beyond his years yet socially awkward, he is a wallflower, caught between trying to live his life and trying to run from it. Charlie is attempting to navigate his way through uncharted territory: the world of first dates and mixed tapes, family dramas and new friends; the world of sex, drugs, and The Rocky Horror Picture Show, when all one requires is that perfect song on that perfect drive to feel infinite. But Charlie can’t stay on the sideline forever. Standing on the fringes of life offers a unique perspective. But there comes a time to see what it looks like from the dance floor.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower is a deeply affecting coming-of-age story that will spirit you back to those wild and poignant roller-coaster days known as growing up.
Its film adaptation will be released in 2012 with casts Logan Lerman as Charlie, Nina Dobrev as Candace, Charlie’s sister and Emma Watson as Sam. Directed by the author of the book himself, Stephen Chbosky.

Sunday to-do’s. Taking this free day to import long overdue pictures, write and read a book that has been unopened for so long. Have a lovely week ahead!
